Davy Crockett National Forest
With more than 160,000 acres of forest, The Davy Crockett National Forest offers a plethora of woodlands, streams, recreation, and wildlife habitat. The endangered red cockaded woodpecker also called this forest home. Principal game includes quail, dove, squirrel, deer, turkey, and waterfowl.
White Bass Run
The Trinity River is home to one of the best white bass runs. It begins in early spring and runs through March.
